Following the
stupendous success of the song from Guru,
it wouldn’t have been incorrect to remark, “Sab
moh-Mayya hai, hAR taraf Rahman ka hi music chhaya hai” (which could be translated to, “Everything is an illusion.
Only the music of A R Rahman is making waves all over.”)
The song, which
was penned by Gulzar, was six minutes and a couple of seconds long.
Seductive and
incredibly catchy, it was rendered by Maryem Tollar, who was born in Cairo,
Egypt.
She was joined
behind the microphone by an Indian pair (Chinmayi Sripaada and Keerthi
Sagathia).
