Of the four tracks from Guru on this blog, Tere Bina was the shortest – it was five minutes and nine seconds long.

Dum dara dum dara mast mast was not just a line from the song, but also an instruction. There’s no doubt that the song was a must-listen, because it was mast.

It was penned by Gulzar.

A R Rahman didn’t just compose the song, but was also credited as the singer.

He was joined behind the microphone by Chinmayi Sripaada.

The aforementioned duo was backed by a couple of Khans – Murtaza and Qadir.

Following the stupendous success of the song from Guru, it wouldn’t have been incorrect to remark, “Sab moh-Mayya hai, hAR taraf Rahman ka hi music chhaya hai” (which could be translated to, “Everything is an illusion. Only the music of A R Rahman is making waves all over.”)

The song, which was penned by Gulzar, was six minutes and a couple of seconds long.

Seductive and incredibly catchy, it was rendered by Maryem Tollar, who was born in Cairo, Egypt.

She was joined behind the microphone by an Indian pair (Chinmayi Sripaada and Keerthi Sagathia).
